Today 05 March 2024 A.D. Tuesday, under the initiative of Department of Environment, Faridpur district office and under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer and learned Executive Magistrate of Boalmari Upazila of Faridpur district, Mr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, in the area called Jayanagar (Bat Tala) in Boalmari upazila of Faridpur district, by illegally burning batteries to prepare lead. A mobile court operation was conducted against the establishment for causing air pollution. Mr. Md. Saeed Anwar, Deputy Director of Department of Environment, Faridpur District Office was present and Mr. Tipu Sultan, Inspector of Department of Environment, Faridpur District Office, gave the prosecution in the mobile court. 1,00,000/- (one lakh rupees) fine was levied by mobile court on 01 (one) establishment and the operation of the establishment was stopped. The details of the mobile court campaign are presented below:

1. Company Name: Battery Processing Industries; Proprietor: Mr. Md. Hiru Munshi; Address: Jaynagar (Boat Floor), Bowalmari, Faridpur. Amount of fine recovered is 1,00,000 (one lakh) rupees. The activities of the organization were stopped.

Members of the law enforcement force were also present at the mobile court. Instructions are given not to pollute the air by illegally burning batteries and making lead while operating mobile courts.

Such mobile courts will continue to be operated by this office in the future to control environmental pollution.
